About Eric Berry

James Eric Berry, nicknamed "The Fifth Dimension,” is an American football safety for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). 

Eric was drafted by the Chiefs fifth overall in the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee, where he was a two-time unanimous All-American and recognized as the best collegiate defensive back in the country. 

Eric was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma on December 8, 2014. After going through chemo in the offseason and being declared cancer free, he came back for the 2015 season and was named to the Pro Bowl, the AP All-Pro team, and was named the 2015 AP Comeback Player of the Year.

Eric's father, James, played running back for the University of Tennessee from 1978 to 1981 and his twin brothers, Elliott and Evan, currently play for the Vols.
